Iletin ad from 1950 medical journal. This is pure beef insulin in U40 (front-red caps) and likely U80 (green caps)strengths. Regular/Neutral, NPH/Isophane and Protamine Zinc/PZI were available then; Lente, Semilente & Ultralente had yet to be marketed. There also was no U 100 strength insulin at the time.
