Diabetes insulin

Onboard insulin-the amount of insulin in the bloodstream that is still able to lower blood glucose.

Onboard insulin refers to the amount of insulin present in the bloodstream that is capable of lowering blood glucose. [1]

When using corrective insulin for hyperglycemia problems, the short-acting or fast-acting increases the amount of onboard insulin; this is how it can lead to a hypoglycemia incident.
